You won’t have to go far or waste time trying to find the ideal place to eat as Ramada Plaza Antwerp offers a huge selection of healthy breakfast options such as freshly baked bread, cheese and fruits If you feel like a treat you could order our delicious fluffy pancakes and top with fruit or chocolate. It is the most important meal of the day after all!

Some Antwerpian Culture

Towering over the whole town is one of Antwerp’s most beautiful and impressive structures, the Cathedral of Our Lady. This Catholic church took 169 years to build (!) and was finally finished in 1521. It is home to many great works of art including a series of fabulous works by world famous painter Rubens. It also has the highest church tower in the entire Benelux. No trip to Antwerp is complete without a visit to the iconic cathedral.

When you’ve finished in the Cathedral, visit the extravagant Grote Markt, Antwerp’s busy main square. Filled with many 16th century Guildhalls, restaurants and cafes you can grab a bit to eat to refuel. Once a place where international markets were held, the land was donated to the city in 1220 and is now a major tourist attraction due to the impressive buildings surrounding the square including City Hall. It is also where our Christmas market is held each year.

Retail Therapy

Just around the corner from the historical district, you’ll find Antwerp’s prettiest indoor shopping centre, Stadsfeestzeel. With over 50 shops under one beautifully decorated roof, you’ll find everything from food to fashion and everything in between. They have a huge variety of stores and stalls selling a high-end and high-street goods and the kiosks on the ground floor are full of little surprises.

Dinner & Drinks

We have recently rediscovered a not-so-hidden gem, right in the heart of the city. If you like traditional Belgian comfort food cooked with love using tried and tested recipes that have lasted through the years, visit De Taloorkes. They serve genuinely good food in a pretty and rustic surround. Their ‘stoofvlees’, ‘witloof in de oven’ and ‘videe’ are absolutely mouth-watering and the menu is very reasonably priced.
